The Logos, I Believe In

Drawing by me.

NOTE:

My writing comes after the “‘LOGOS’ DEFINED” section. My perspective is inspired by Thomas Aquinas’ cosmological “First Cause” Argument & “Diotima’s Ladder of Love” from Plato’s Symposium.

Written by Me (Lmii Sarah Allison May):

Representations of logos & of higher epistemologically, & ontologically existent entity(s) which occupy varied degrees of distance from, & knowledge of, the ultimate Source.

Points of awareness in historical context, randomly interacting through planes of evolutionary structures, categories, & constructs, which may be seen as simply raw data to some, yet simultaneously, as symbolic, actionable, practical information, or narratives, that facilitate decisions for others.

The muffled layers present, when expressing intentions & desires, the confusion and suffering that result from inauthenticity, lack of understanding, resource scarcity, and bad faith. Unable to directly express an essence, and bound by physical constraints, perspectives become guided by sociological, cultural, scientific, moral, philosophical, and/or religious-dogmatic explanations/theories. Using these frameworks, people make decisions based upon projections deduced, there-from.

Without the ability for omniscience, we are moved mechanistically, sometimes unknowingly, and ideally willingly (i.e. while in a state of free-will) by dominating powers, both sentient and non-sentient.

Natural contemplation of the essential forms of meaning is analyzed through transactional communication with the transcendent. From these, possession of, by, or with a spiritual understanding can occur, and the relationships between “souls” may reach agreeable accordance, in confirmation of, & with a flowing into formational communion between particulars & the ideal. In this, the materiality of spiritual vessels, dependent upon the tangible world, can be mitigated, managed, & prolonged.

Through belief in, and hope for, the continued inherent value of the qualia of consciousness, humans are given a sense of deeper meaning & daily purpose.
